.: Fastest Fingers :.It's time for the fastest finger again. This afternoon was the subject registration and all hell break loose at 130pm. Ahaha... One thing i really hate about university is the subject registration (For NUS, it's bidding..). It's really exciting (exciting enough to have a heart attack) cos vacancies for lab and tutorial classes can be gone in 30 seconds. For popular classes with good timetable, the vacancies can be gone within 15 seconds. So your fate for next semester onwards depend on your fingers... Haha! People, start training your fingers now and click away!
At least today was just the registration for the core modules.. The real excitement come at the start of the add/drop period. On that day itself, many people (including me =P) will bring their laptop to class ( of cos not for the class duh.) and try to grab those vacancies of their choice subjects which are dropped by others. Last semester was the craziest... the libraries' computer terminals were filled to the maximum and many skipped lecture. V and me was sitting outside the LT and clicking the refresh button till our fingers were sore. V almost used up her laptop battery and still cant make it to the main page. Unfortunately, the server cannot handle the load and crashed. It was only at the end of the add/drop period that i have gotten my "ideal timetable". That's about 2 weeks cos some Kiasi-s want to keep their electives till the end and wait till the last day to decide which electives are the best.
I dont know how bad the next semester is going to get especially all the freshies will have to add their own subjects on their own now. And it happened that this year freshies' intake are really huge with 3 schools opening at the same time. Imagine the number of people using the system will be growing at an exponential rate every year since there will be increasing more students. Crap... all the resources are stretched. I hate the long long long morning bus queues. (But heng.. only one 830 lesson next semester.) I hate the long long long queues in Canteen. I hate the drop in the standard of food in Canteen. eee....
Heck.. let's think about it after i come back from Bangkok. =)
