881.. Yo arh Yo

Finally caught 881 today.. with my mum and sis. I absolutely love the movie by Royston Tan! You can either laugh or moved till you tear. Mum and I walked out of the cinema with red, swollen eyes.:P Especially towards the end of the show, many aunties and uncles (yes.. Uncle) took out their tissue and start sobbing. The final few songs were so so so sad...esp that particular song (which I dunnoe whats the title) describing the suffering of a cancer patient (most likely referring to Chen Jing Lang, a v popular Getai singer who recently passed away). It's so xin1 suan4. *sob*

The hokkien jokes in the show were fantastic and really hilarious. HahaHa.

Anyway, for those who haven catch, mus go catch the show or go rent the dvd. Dont wait until Channel 8 decide to show it (which god knows when) cos' all the Hokkien would be dubbed and some jokes are simply not funny if they are not expressed in Hokkien. Hahaha.

Cant find some of the nice hokkien songs in the movie on Youtube. But came across the duet version of one half (ji lang ji pua, kam ching bua sua....) which i thought sounded great too.

Another theme song of 881... (watch the movie and you will appreciate the song better)..

The Modern Poison Pen

While surfing the forum, I came across this thread which I find it very disturbing. Not obscene stuffs or whatsoever. But what a female sicko (most forumers believed that sicko who did it was a female.) did.. to impersonate a "friend" friendster account whereby this "friend" has some bad blood with the sicko.

Here's the link to the friendster acct: http://www.friendster.com/user.php?statpos=bc&uid=47626524

See whats on the friendster description.

What even disturbed me further ( hmm.. maybe interest me further) is that it happens right here in my school. And the female sicko and the "friend" happens to be one year my junior. Gosh. I can even recognise our school LT and some of the juniors (guys) in the friendster's photo album.

Faint. This sicko is really sick to go jeopardized her friend's relationship. And very the free hor? I thought the year 3 should be v bz (unless they are in IA). Heh.

Home Sweet Home

I am finally back home! It's great to be home..and the first thing the moment I reached home was to dash into the bathroom. Hohoho.. cos I didn't get to bath for almost 3 days. The flight from Berlin to Doha for transit is about 6 hours, stuck at Doha for 5.5 hrs to wait for the flight back to Singapore and finally the second leg which took 7hrs. Man... i am shagged..

After bathing, I immediately removed the German Sausages from my luggage. Thank goodness it's remained "safe and sound" in my towel. I thought the heat in Doha might have cooked it within the luggage. Yes...I had quite a few people asking me where's Doha before the trip. It's in the Middle East. So at the airport, no matter you looked left or right, you can only see sands and more sands.. or some insignificant building next to the airport. The temperature there was like 36 deg C and according to some passengers who visited there before, it's relatively cooling compared to days hitting 40 or 50 deg C.

After unpacking my luggage and chocolates, I finally get to nua and talk to my mummy. Man.. I miss mummy so much. Regret not calling back often and making mummy worry. Opps.

Just as I was looking forward to reading Harry Potter, damn! I forgot that it's still with Sky. I should have bought the book in Europe. It's only 17.99 euros (About 36 SGD) at one of the bookshop in Munich. *heartache* The book here cost.. boo hoo hoo.. 50 plus SGD. Faint. I have to be dragged away by Ling and Les everytime they caught me reading Harry Potter in the bookshop. hehe.

So much drama, so much good food, so much good beer, so much fun along the trip. Yeah. Europe rocks. I guess once I get ready the pictures.. i can start work on the travelogue. Whee.. But now i gotta fixed up my laptop, damn. it just keep rebooting and i have no idea whats wrong with it. Maybe it has too much nua-ing while i am away.
