Bidding Farewell
We have a small farewell gathering for Mung who would be flying to US anytime after 28 July. Since she will be stuffing herself with western food, burgers and fries for the next 1 year, we have the gathering over at Paragon's Ding Tai Fung to have some chinese food. She also took some photos of the food we ordered so that she can reminisce the taste and flavours she is deprived of. Haha!
Although it's just the 4 of us (Me, Mung, Auntie Chin and Mei), we have lots of fun chit-chatting as me and Mung dont get to see Auntie Chin (Dentist) and Mei (Pharmacist) very often. Sigh. As the days go by, the numbers of people we can call out for gatherings and mahjong are shrinking. Here we are at Ding Tai Fung, Paragon. On our table... The Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, Pork Chop Fried Rice, Wanton soup and Braised beef tendon la mian... Yummy!Labels: Chill-out, Farewell, Food, Friends
Mung and Me. Normally it's just the 2 of us that are still on "active" mode. wahaha.. I will miss my favourite gossip mate. Labels: Chill-out, Farewell, Food, Friends
Mung, Juan and Mei.It's a pity that Jiamin not with us. It has been ages since we last took a complete picture of our clique. The last one taken was 6 months ago.Labels: Chill-out, Farewell, Food, Friends
The 3 of us (Mung, me, mei) and 1 "refugee" (Auntie Chin). Poor Auntie Chin, whenever her clique gone mia in school or now, she will "seek refuge" from us. But indeed, we have a fun time interrogating her, dun we? hehe...

Bon Voyage
Sigh. Cant help feeling a little sad that some of my close buddies going overseas soon. Mung is going US for her attachment, Shan going over to Norway, fjm in Aussie.. sigh. Come and think of it, there wont be JC class outing anymore since our "main organiser" is flying off soon next week, with some also going for US attachment and some mia and some too busy to meet like the doc, dentist and the pharmacist.
Miss those good old days in JC and our gatherings. Remember those time we used to joke that our class can open a 02s23 medical centre. The chemical engineers can build a pharmacuetical plant to manufacture our own drugs and supply to our own medical centre, completed with docs, dentist, pharmacist and a food dietician (She is kept out from the lab since she can blow up the lab at the rate she turns on her bunsen burner.. *cough cough*). Bio-engineers can stay in the lab do research lah.
Miss those days. And bon voyage my friends! Take care! =)Labels: Farewell, Friends, JC, Reflections
Happy XX Birthday Jul!!!
I was looking very forward to tonite outing after since IA started for 5 days. We have decided to make it a point to have a Friday Datenite once every fortnight to update each other about all those happening during our IA and gossip, more gossips as usual. Tonite topic was still talking the same old outrageous horrifying camp stuffs and all those "unhappenings" in a chronological manner. Not forgetting to mention, we invited Waiman as our VIP to discuss all these with us. Well, we have quite a few good laughs at MR and MRS LOG. (Thick-skinned like tree bark, Can only think straight...Perfect match in Heaven...) and we even suspected that there's some redenvous during the camp between them. Muahaha... Well.. thank god I wun see them for the next 6 months.
Besides it's our first Friday Datenight, we were also celebrating Ms Jul Jul's Birthday. She would have gladly preferred us not to reveal her age. Jul Jul has always taken good care of us (that's why she is the welfare officer for camp.) and of cos, never fail to crack us up with her accidental jokes. But we all love her wor. May all her many wishes come true and hopefully she will take good care of her health too. =)
Oh yeah. Thanks man... Jul send me a "muackz" over msn during office hrs today... wan me to die izzit? Our dearest Juljul's Birthday.... she is xx years old now. but sometime she behaved abit like xx years old. So hopefully she will behaved like a xx year old adult. hahaha..=X

Our first picture... The first outing after the camp and the first fortnightly dinner organised during our IA. From 1st row-left: Alfred, Cindy, Jul, Wai Man, Xin, Eleanor, Jing. 2nd row-left: Cehao, Willy, Weilun, Ling, Lesley, Juan, Jan and Beverly. It's great to see everyone. All of us were barely alive after work, so dont talk about chatting on msn every nite now.Labels: Birthdays, Chill-out, Friends

Third Day
To date... 5 cups of milo, 1 cup of tea, 1 cup of cuppucino...
I must count how many drinks I took from the vending machine during the next 6 months. These numbers excludes those that I drink during lunch. Heng... They are all free! Seriously I have not seen anyone else at the vending machine except me and May. Perhaps those permanent staffs drink until dont want to drink le. Haha!
It's the 3rd day of my IA. Guess what I did today?..... As usual lor, reading exercise! But no choice.. i have to know how their business work at the tip of my fingers. Beside reading and partially dozing off at the desk, I tagged along my supervisor to a meeting which he chairs and of cos it has to involve me as it's my project. Hahaha! I dont know how many hands I have shaken these 3 days. But it was interesting to attend the meeting and how much work and planning behind a petrol station are unexpectedly overwhelming. And for the first time in my life, I get to see a "polycom". It is used for voice confrencing which means that for those who cannot physically be there at the meeting, they can dial a number which they will be connected through the Polycom and taaa-ddaaahhh... their voice can still be heard at the meeting. Somemore no phone bills to worry about.
Next week, I will be going down to a petrol station to do my observation and learn more about their databases. Better than stuck in the office reading non-stop... haha..
First Day
Today is most people's official day to report to their respective companies for Industrial Attachment. My office is at the West Coast area, Pandan Road which is only accessible by 1 SBS bus only. I thought that I went missing while taking that bus as the bus kept turning and turning and I might have missed my stop. Thank goodness I didnt. Muahaha... But good to learn that the company do provide shuttle service from Clementi at 730am in the morning. But then... my boss only comes in at 9 and I report at 745am... I most probably be dozing off at my desk again if I am there so early.
The working hours are pretty "flexible" and lunch time are "flexible" too. If I want to catch the shuttle bus in the evening, I can leave at 4.45pm or 5.15pm. As for Friday, I can leave at 4.15pm. Nice working hours I must say.
Today is kinda unlucky. Didnt get to meet my supervisor until I knocked off in the evening. He happened to be on leave that day and nobody in the company knew that the interns are coming today. So basically what i have been doing the whole day is to sit in the office reading, barely dozing off and drowning myself with 2 cups of milo and 1 cup of teh. (free one...) Also meet another NUS intern, Ignattius who got a call from my supervisor and asked him to "entertain" me.
During lunch time, May's supervisor brought us out for lunch at this Japanese restuarant. Minoru, at Hong Leong Garden with some colleagues from the finance department. Haha! Intention is to build rapport with them since we will need their help in the future. Nice people... v funny too. Anyway, the food at that restuarant is really nice but kinda ex. (But not I pay...muahaha..)
Will update soon...
Finally it's over!
Yeah. The camp N**** finally ended last friday afternoon. Thank god that it didnt drag till evening or night to break camp. I have no idea what words to describe my feelings about the camp. All i feel is great relief... almost similar to those situation that you havent shit for days and finally the shit is out. haha! (or should I say I manage to got out of the shit?!)
Everyday, there was always something happening that never fails to make me v v pissed, so pissed that I really wanted to pack my bags and go. There are people who tried to "taiji" responsibility to you, people who have no common sense (like the "slippers-on-top-as-door-stopper" incident), people who always claimed that they are busy but have no idea what they are doing, people who claimed other's credits when they did not have the slightest idea what the rest were doing, people who go "orh orh orh" and 5 seconds later, scold you for confusing her, people who delayed my dinner for 2 hours (Hungry man= angry man) etc.
How did I ever manage to survive these 4 days 3 nights hell? I cant imagine that I have really done that. Special thanks to Sa Kang Warriors. Every night, the Sa Kang Warriors held late night meetings to pour tons and tons of grievances. Those things that made us angry in the day... we managed to turn it into something we can all roll on the bed and laugh hysterically about during our night gatherings. Amazing eh? Btw, I forgot to mention that Sa Kang warriors are part-time logistics, part-time welfare and part-time programmers. Hahaha..
Takeshi Castle: The overall set-up on the SRC rugby field. That's one of my events. The other is the Beach games. Well.. our painstaking efforts did not go down to the drain. No delay and everything went smoothly. All thanks to my programmers and special thanks to my subcommers + SK warriors (actually they are the same people.)

Takeshi Castle: Strategizing
Takeshi Castle: @ the starting line. Chionnnng arrrhhhh!
Takeshi castle: @ the penalty box. "Wo men xia ci bu gan le!!!" Think can blackmail these 2 freshies hor?
Takeshi Castle: @ the penalty box. This fella doing sexy dance for 20s. Wahaha!
Takeshi Castle: Pole dancing as the penalty. The guy as the pole and the ger dancing around. Anyway this guy used to be in NJ for 1st three months and also happened to be Jul's SP. Wahaha!
Takeshi Castle: Hitting paper targets. This ally is exceptionally bad at aiming. We even have to move the line close to the paper structures.

Dylan re-introducing the main commers. If you think I am a perfectionist, then by all means let the camp drag for another week. Unfortunately I have no extra clothes to spare.....
Part of the SK warriors aka part-time logistics, part-time programmers (some full time programmers) and part-time welfare. Our motto "We bao ka liao!" or simply " We wipe your ass clean for you!"
The Blues a.k.a the programmers (subcomm of the Asst Chief Programmers)
Me with 2 of my subcommers. It's a pity that Xin wasnt there. (and Ling also lah.) And dont talk about that casper. Give her such a nice post (not hot, got water to cool down and got seat somemore...) during Takeshi yet she didnt wan to come! What a pity sia!
